为庆祝欢乐日间保健中心成立12周年，欢乐各部门员工回忆这12年里的点点滴滴，记录下他们印象中最深刻的感人故事，特在这里与大家分享。 (中英文）
12 Years of Unity

I remember in those days as a pupil in elementary school, my cliché for every essay always began with ‘Time flies like an arrow shooting into the sky and never returns”. Nevertheless, inwardly I never could concur with adults’ sentimental feeling of ‘Life is too short”. In my innocent mind, it appeared that it took a very long time to have the New Year come to receive the New Year’s Red Envelope and to wear the new beautiful New Year dress. Alas, nowadays time does fly and life indeed is short.
Almost in the blink of an eye, CCACC - ADHC has already hit its12-year anniversary! These 12 years in a sense seem to be only 12 months. I still remember the day when our founder and senior consultant, Mr. Ned Li, delivered us a mighty moving lecture during the initial opening stage of the Center. On that day Mr. Li gathered all eight employees in the hall, stating the mission and the motto of CCACC – Unity of determined minds can turn into a fortified city. The sincere words out from this man, who was both a volunteer and Champaign fighter, spontaneously reflected his selfless dedication. It was striking! Mr. Li’s motive for his service left in me an indelible first impression.
In the first year of CCACC - ADHC, one of our participants was diagnosed with throat cancer. The patient had to undergo a surgery scheduled at 6:00 am at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, which meant the patient and the driver had to get up at 4 am or 5 am in the morning in order to be at the hospital on time. When I reported this situation to Mr. Ned Li, to my surprise, he said that he would volunteer himself to be the driver to carry out the task. Being one of the founders of CCACC, he does not show off being a boss; instead, he treated the participants with humanity and selflessness. Such cases were numerous beyond counting in the past 12 years!
Not only does Ned Li look after the elderly, but he also takes care of the employees. He donates all his director salary to set up two funds for the employees to go to training or to get relief from financial hardship. He also treated the entire staff with overnight outings. As a result, the staff got closer to one another, and everyone was overjoyed with such heartwarming generosity. Another memorable moment is that on one hot day Mr. Ned Li
brought in an ice shaver and made a variety of flavored icy deserts himself for his employees. Everyone was thrilled because of not only the sweetness of the taste but also the warm feeling of being cherished.
At CCACC - ADHC, Mr. Ned Li has successfully cultivated a culture of caring for one another, in which although we are not relatives yet we are closer than relatives, not families yet surpassing a family! I hereby would like to thank Mr. Li for his leadership throughout these years! Twelve is a complete number. I am looking forward to having another twelve years of CCACC - ADHC, so we could continue to write the blissful story of how care and sacrifice are always the banners of CCACC, and how the unity of determined minds has become a fortified city.
歡樂眾志成城的12年

記得小時候，為賦新詞强說愁，作文時總愛矯情地說“時光飛逝如梭，一逝不復返”之類的話。然而打从心底卻不覺得大人所說的人生苦短是真的，因为每年要拿压岁钱穿新衣都要等很久很久。現在可不然了！
这一幌，欢乐中心已经12歳了！这12年彷佛就是12个月。我仍然記得当初創辦人李潮先生將所有員工，大约八位左右聚集在一堂，為我们講說美京華人活動中心的使命与立業之本：衆志成城。这位義工兼鬥士苦口婆心的教誨，隱隱輝映了他無私奉献的精神，令人动容！他的服务初衷，最先体現在一件令人難忘的記憶裡。
那是歡樂中心創業的第一年，有位老先生得了喉癌，必须到巴尔地摩霍普金斯医院开刀，开刀時間上午六点。換句话說，老先生和司机必须四五点起床，才能順利到達。当我向李潮報告这事時，出乎我意料，他竟然說他亲自为之。毫无老闆架子，只有服务情操！这類的事例，这12年来，不勝繁舉！
李潮先生不只放眼在服务耆老, 他也很照顾員工。他將主任的薪水，全数捐出成立兩个基金，供員工在职進修或有特別財務困難時使用；他也带領我们全体员工過夜出遊, 大家距离拉近了，也都乐翻了；还有在大熱天時，他帶个刨冰机，亲自为員工做冰品，大家都乐傻了，不只甜在嘴里，更是甜在心头！他给欢乐中心塑造了一种彼此相爱的企业文化，雖不是亲人卻勝似亲人，雖不是家人卻勝似家人！我在此感谢他一路的引領！
12年是一个完整的数字。我在此期盼歡樂的下一个12年，也是一个以愛與服务為旌旗、眾志成城的甜美故事！
